How Healing Stone Candles Turned my Hobby Into My Passion

Many of you may know me as Shari, the hairstylist and esthetician. For many years, I’ve made a career out of helping people look and feel their best, so that they exude confidence and feel comfortable in their own skin.

With my successful business running Tranquility Skin Services, I never intended to dive into a whole new venture, but then I found myself, stressed, tired, and needing a source of peace in my life where I could take time to pause and do something I enjoy.

I’ve always loved candles, so I thought, “Why not make homemade candles myself?” I figured it would give me a fun new hobby to occupy my spare time, and that maybe I could share my creations with my friends and family.

So in November of 2019, I picked up candle making as something fun to do, and that’s when something unexpected happened.

The friends and family that I shared the candles with LOVED them, and before I knew what was happening, orders started to roll in, given that it was so close to the holidays.

After receiving such a positive response to my handmade jars, Healing Stone Candles was born, and I had no idea at that point where this new business would take me or how much I’d grow to love it.

The holidays got me up and running, but then in March of 2020, COVID-19 arrived on the scene, and I was no longer able to provide services at the spa. I figured I might as well take advantage of all the extra time I suddenly had on my hands, so I started making more and more candles, built my website, and started marketing Healing Stone Candles to my clients and on social media. As they say, the rest is history!

With each candle I pour, there’s love and dedication involved in making a one-of-a-kind, unique gift that someone can cherish.

As you may know, what makes Healing Stone Candles different than other candles on the market is the healing gemstone that can be found in each candle after it burns. Each jar has a QR code on the side, which you scan after you find your hidden stone.

The code will bring you to the Healing Stone Candles website, where you can match your stone to the ones listed and receive a healing massage that goes along with that stone. It’s like a second gift within the gift!

I firmly believe that nothing in our life happens by chance, and that the universe is more extraordinary than any of us could possibly imagine.

And that’s why I truly feel that whatever candle you happen to choose, for yourself or to give to someone else, is specifically meant for the recipient. Whatever message your soul needs at the time determines which stone the universe chooses for you.

Have you ever read or heard a quote, or had someone say something profound to you and thought to yourself, “Wow. In addition to providing healing messages for others, making these candles also helps ignite my creative spirit. It keeps me on my toes and pushes me to challenge myself, and at the same time, it allows me to be mindful and present and to appreciate what truly matters in life. If I could have hand-painted a brand to fully represent who I am, inside and out, it’s Healing Stone Candles.

I also love to use my candles for my own relaxation and meditation! One of my absolute favorites right now is called Walk In The Woods. I have been blessed enough to have experienced the rainforest in Belize, and this candle brings me right back to sitting under the canopies of leaves and the sunlight pouring in between them. The smell is so distinct and this candle makes me feel like I'm there all over again.

It’s important to note that I am a very spiritual person, and I’m I also a rock and gemstone collector, with an extensive variety of stones that I’ve collected for over 30 years. I fully understand what each stone represents and the healing effects it has on the mind and body. There are so many beautiful things that the earth provides naturally, and I’ve always been so drawn to stones – both in my collection and out in nature. I’ve even found myself being attracted to stones that I find while beach combing.

In sharing my knowledge of the stones and how they help to heal us, I hope to inspire other people to connect with themselves on a deeper, more spiritual level. And through Healing Stone Candles, I hope that I can remind others that when you’re feeling down, stressed, or like you just need an escape, pay attention to the subtle “coincidences” that are popping up in your daily life.

There are signs and messages hiding in plain sight all around us. We just have to have

the presence of mind to recognize them when they show up.
